How Does The Sleep Challenge Work?

Our Sleep Challenge Can be Done by ANYONE!

Follow these daily tips to prepare.

  • Night 1:

    Start small by going to bed at the same time everyday & set an alarm for the same time every morning

  • Night 2:

    Get plenty of natural light during the day & go to bed in a dark room to help melatonin production

  • Night 3:

    Keep it going by limiting your screen time before bed – the blue light can disrupt the production of melatonin which helps regulate sleep

  • Night 4:

    Start introducing a comfortable sleep environment

Prioritizing a Wake Up Time
Go to bed & wake up at the same time everyday, even on weekends, to help regulate your body's internal clock.

Circadian Rhythyms: 'Bright Days, Dark Nights'
Natural light boosts mood & dark nights helps produce melatonin, which is crucial for healthy sleep.

Mindful Technology Use and Relaxation
Put your phone, tablet, Kindle, laptop and TV away for 30 minutes to an hour before you lay down.

Create a Comfortable Sleep Environment
Keep your bedroom dark, quiet & cool to help optimize your sleep quality.

Journal Your Journey

We encourage participants to keep a sleep journal throughout the challenge. Documenting your experiences, thoughts, and observations can help you track progress, identify patterns, and reflect on your sleep habits.

Consider jotting down how you feel before and after implementing each sleep habit, any changes you notice in your sleep quality, and any challenges you encounter along the way. Your journal can be a valuable tool in your journey to better sleep!
